Review Of Samsung Galaxy M51 By My Gadgets

Samsung Galaxy M51 is the newest smartphone in the company's Galaxy M-series. The Galaxy M-series has not only increased in size but now its price is also increasing. With the Galaxy M51, the M-series has now reached Rs 25,000. While most manufacturers are chasing performance, Samsung is putting up a different race with its latest Galaxy M51 and that's the battery capacity race. The company has given a battery of 7,000mAh capacity with this phone, around which it has no competitor. However, does this mean that this phone is good at only one thing? Let us know in the review of Samsung Galaxy M51.

Samsung Galaxy M51 Design

We were worried about the size and weight of the Galaxy M51 from the beginning, but after using this smartphone for a few days, we can say that it is not difficult to use. One can imagine that the 7,000mAh battery will make a phone very weighty, but it is not here. Samsung has distributed the weight well and the phone does not feel heavy in hand. However, it weighs 213 grams and you will feel it after using it for a while.
Samsung has gone with the Infinity-O display in this phone, which means there is a hole at the top of the screen for the front camera. The borders around the screen are thin. The display is 6.7-inch and has a 20:9 aspect ratio. This makes it difficult to reach the top of the display while keeping the smartphone in one hand. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on display.

Samsung has placed the fingerprint scanner in the power button. It works well and it can be easily accessed to unlock the phone. The volume buttons are also on the same side, but set slightly up, making access a little difficult. On the Galaxy M51, you still get a 3.5mm headphone jack and it is set down with a USB Type-C port and speaker.

The Galaxy M51 has a glass stick back. We had a celestial black color option that is extremely glossy and grabs fingerprints very easily. There is no case/cover in the box, so we had to keep wiping the phone to maintain the brightness of that back panel. The quad-camera module is set in the back corner of the phone.

Samsung has a 25-watt charger in the box, something we also saw with the Galaxy M31. This charger charges the phone's huge battery relatively quickly.

Samsung Galaxy M51 Specifications

Samsung has used Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G for Galaxy M51. This phone meets two variants, the first with 6 GB RAM and the second, 8 GB RAM. The price of these two is Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999 respectively. Both variants get the same 128 GB storage and you can use dedicated microSD card slots if you need more storage.

Samsung Galaxy M51 has a 6.7-inch Infinity-O display that comes with a Full-HD+ resolution, but the refresh rate is 60 Hz. Let's tell you here that its other competitors such as OnePlus Nord and Realme X3 come with a more refresh rate panel. However, the Super AMOLED display on galaxy M51 is gorgeous. You can change the color output through the Settings app and it stays bright enough in the outdoors.

The Galaxy M51 comes with OneUI 2.1 based on Android 10. The August security patch was running in our unit, which is new. After using lots of Samsung phones recently, the UI was easy to navigate. Samsung has made full use of useful customizations in Android 10. The Samsung Galaxy M51 also gets a new near share feature, which makes it much easier to transfer files between supported devices.

The smartphone has dual messenger, gesture navigation, a game launcher, and much more. Because it's hard to reach the top of the long display, Samsung has also added a gesture that helps you bring down the notification shade and quick toggle by swiping on the fingerprint sensor, which is very handy.

Samsung has already installed The Dailyhunt, Chingari, MX TakaTak, Moj, Snapchat, Candy Crush Saga, and Amazon app on this phone along with Microsoft and Google apps. After boot, many notifications of dailyhunt and spark apps continued to be available. If you do not use these apps, we would advise you to uninstall them. Samsung's My Galaxy app also leaves no stone unturned to provide notifications of promotional content along with the Covid update.
