Soon You Will Be Able To Make WhatsApp Voice or Video Calls From a Laptop
WhatsApp is soon going to come up with voice and video call support on its web version, which the company is currently working on. This information has come up in the latest report. This feature has reportedly been found in the recent update version 2.2043.7 for web clients. The feature is currently in beta, indicating that the company is testing the feature before it is made for the public. WhatsApp video and voice call support is already available on Android and iOS apps and now looks like it's going to get the benefit of this feature on desktop/web client soon.
WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo has reported in its report that the messaging app's web/desktop is not the same. Video and voice call support is integrated into version 2.2043.7, the latest update for desktop clients. However, this feature is currently available in beta version, WABetaInfo has tested this feature and shared screenshots of it.
The shared screenshot can be seen that when you get a call using WhatsApp web on your desktop, a pop-up window opens showing the option to pick up or cut calls. Apart from these two, there is also the option of an ' Ignore '. While calling, a small window opens, with options such as starting, muting, and decline videos.
The report also states that this update also contains group video calls and voice call support. However, this feature is not currently available for tests and will soon be added to the web/desktop client.
Video and voice call support will make things even more intuitive, as users will have the facility to make calls and video calls between work on their desktop and laptop. They will not need to switch from desktop and laptop to phone to make calls. As everyone knows, messaging support already exists on the WhatsApp web, now the feature of voice calls and video calls will make it even more useful.
It may be recalled that Facebook, the parent company of WhatsApp, has not shared any information about this feature nor has it been made available to the public. However, this feature is present in the latest beta update, so it can be expected that it will be introduced soon.
