WhatsApp has finally launched the Payments feature in India. WhatsApp Pay is being rolled out slowly, so if you have not shown this feature on your WhatsApp till now, then do not need to worry, this feature will soon be available for you to use as well.

The WhatsApp Payments feature is designed in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India or NPCI and is a unified payments interface or a UPI-based payment method. The most important thing to use this feature is to keep in mind that you are on the latest WhatsApp version of your Android or iOS. How to set up WhatsApp Payments:

1. First open WhatsApp and go to Settings and tap On Payments.

2. Now tap on the Add payment method and select your bank.

3. After choosing a bank, you need to verify your mobile number. Now tap verify via SMS.

4. Wait for the verification process to be completed. After the process is completed, your bank details will be added to the payment method below.

How to make payments using WhatsApp Pay:

1. Open WhatsApp Chat and click on the attachment icon.

2. Now tap on Payment and enter it by typing as much amount as you need to send to someone.

3. Now enter the UPI PIN and complete the payment process.

People who use other UPI apps, such as PhonePe or Google Pay, send them in this way.

1. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings and tap on Payments.

2. Now tap New Payment and then Send to a UPI ID. Then enter the UPI ID and verify.

3. Enter the amount after the UPI ID is verified.

4. Enter the UPI PIN to complete the payment process.

You can also send a request to those who have not yet registered on WhatsApp. Such way-

1. Open WhatsApp chat and click on the attachment and then go to payment.

2. Tap Notify on the next screen and let others know the WhatsApp Payments feature.

Through the above methods you can start making digital payments on WhatsApp.
